چکیده
a. The Chou-Fasman method is based on the propensity of different amino acids to form different types of secondary structure. It then looks for patterns of these different types of residues to determine the presence of helices and strands etc. These propensity values reflect the physics of the individual amino acids ie prolines are likely to break helices because of its sidechain. b. The GOR method is based on the idea that neighboring amino acids influence the likelihood that a particular residue will adopt a particular secondary structure. It computes something like an information content by comparing the logodds ratio of probability that an amino is in a particular structure s to the probability that it is not. c. JPRED is a consensus method because it uses 6 different methods for prediction and compares/combines the results of all of them. Ultimately, it is the most accurate because if a particular secondary structure pattern is predicted using a variety of different methods then it is likely real rather than an artifact of a particular method.

متن کاملProgram Induction by Rationale Generation: Learning to Solve and Explain Algebraic Word Problems
Solving algebraic word problems requires executing a series of arithmetic operations—a program—to obtain a final answer. However, since programs can be arbitrarily complicated, inducing them directly from question-answer pairs is a formidable challenge. To make this task more feasible, we solve these problems by generating answer rationales, sequences of natural language and human-readable math...
متن کاملProviding a Method for Solving Interval Linear Multi-Objective Problems Based on the Goal Programming Approach
Most research has focused on multi-objective issues in its definitive form, with decision-making coefficients and variables assumed to be objective and constraint functions. In fact, due to inaccurate and ambiguous information, it is difficult to accurately identify the values of the coefficients and variables. Interval arithmetic is appropriate for describing and solving uncertainty and inaccu...
متن کاملQuantum algorithms for shortest paths problems in structured instances
The final answer is computed by taking the minimum out of all of the above answers. Ingredient (1) above requires a fast algorithm to compute the special matrix product. Typically, one computes these matrix products by some sort of partitioning of the input, then using fast integer matrix multiplication to compute some of the answers, typically between di↵erent partitions, and then using brute ...
متن کاملMulla Sadra and Hume on Comparative Analyzing of Causality
One of the most important causes for comparative studying on philosophical systems is to find their commonalities for responding common questions and to emphasize on their differences for taking functional answers encountering modern philosophical challenges and problems. Here, causality is chosen as the case study. Causality is of the basic philosophical issues that have been continually consi...
